This album is written for Jeff, Peter, Tom and Bob. It is written as a picture of myself, from the darkness inside me, using often unquantised rhythms and playing which gives it an organic, genuine feel untied to the machine-like rigidity of a sequencer grid. It is simple yet complex. It is honest, not good. It has failings and is not perfect. Of course, like any revealing, it conceals as much as it reveals. That is always the trick in any revealing. May listeners find something musically worthwhile here amongst the various rhythms and textures I have employed. I did. But then I always will. For my music is not just like me. It is me. It exists because I exist. It exists as it is because I exist as I am.

The album is 6 tracks and 50 minutes long. It is 6 tracks long because my favourite album of all time, Rendez-Vous by Jean-Michel Jarre, is also 6 tracks long. But that album only just scrapes over 35 minutes in length. And every note of it is perfectly in place. If only I could be one hundredth as good as he.
